Black Reishi

Green Reishi

White Reishi

Yellow Reishi

Purple Reishi

The most common type of reishi mushroom is the red reishi mushroom.

Deer Horn Reishi is the tape of purple Reishi. Deer Horn Reishi is said to be extremely rare, being found only once in every several hundred thousand plants in nature. As the name implies, it is shaped like a deer antler, and because it does not open its umbrella and release spores, it is said to be extremely rich in active ingredients.

How to choose Reishi

There are five main points to consider when selecting Ganoderma lucidum.

1) Method of cultivation 2)Appearance 3)Place of origin 4) Active ingredients 5) Reliable certification

In the 1970s, Japan's first artificial cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum was successful, and since then most Ganoderma lucidum has been cultivated.

There are two common methods of cultivation.

◎Log cultivation

Log cultivation is the process of planting Ganoderma lucidum fungi on a log and then burying it in a field.

The reason for burying in the field is that Ganoderma lucidum requires a lot of nutrients to grow. The reason why it is buried in the field is because it needs a lot of nutrients to grow, and it absorbs nutrients not only from the tree but also from the surrounding soil.

The key to growing Ganoderma lucidum is to grow it in a field with nutrient-rich soil.

◎Pot cultivation

Pot cultivation is a method of growing Reishi plants by filling propylene bottles with nutrient-rich sawdust, corn cob meal (powdered corn core), and rice bran.

The size and thickness of Ganoderma lucidum umbrellas are larger in log cultivation than in pot cultivation, so log cultivation is more common.

2)Appearance

The larger the size of the Ganoderma lucidum and umbrella, the richer the active ingredients.

3) Place of origin

Although most people think of Ganoderma lucidum as coming from China, an increasing number of manufacturers are now cultivating Ganoderma lucidum in Japan.

In particular, Hokkaido Reishi Co., Ltd. grows Reishi in Bibai,Hokkaido, an area blessed with an excellent environment.

There are many Reishi mushroom manufacturers in Japan, but it is best to choose Hokkaido brand Reishi mushroom for its safety and security.

4) Active ingredients

Ganoderic acid and beta-glucan are the two main components of Ganoderma lucidum. Ganoderic acid in particular is unique to Ganoderma lucidum, so it is best to focus on it when choosing Ganoderma lucidum.

In general, the active ingredients of Ganoderma lucidum are usually expressed as 00mg/100g. If the content of beta-glucan is 4,000mg/100g, it may seem like a lot at first glance, but if it is converted into grams, it is calculated as 4g/100g. Our Deer Horn Reishi is 60.6g/100g, which is one of the highest in Japan and the world.

5) Reliable certification

There are many health food products on the market, but one of the most important points is to choose products that have been certified by public institutions. In recent years, the term "organic" has been heard more and more. In fact, Ganoderma lucidum also has that certification. Organic is a term used to describe agricultural products that have been produced using organic fertilizers without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. We are the first company in Japan to have obtained organic certification for both the cultivation and processing of Reishi mushroom.

So, how about it? If you keep those in mind, I think you will be able to find the perfect Reishi product for you.
